What you can expect:
The Specialist is a member of the Claims Program Services team and is responsible for managing administrative related tasks to support the long-term success of the team. Day-to-day responsibilities include pulling and analyzing reports; creating presentations; and serving as a project manager for team wide projects and initiatives. This role does not require claims handling.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in business and/or related field preferred.
Prior experience working with an insurance carrier is preferred.
Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
Demonstrated customer service experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills

As a single point of contact for our agents and insureds, we troubleshoot and deep dive into claims issues and losses to inform decisions, helping our customers get the most value for their insurance dollars. As a Claims Business Specialist, you’ll provide account data assembly and analysis. You’ll be as single point of contact for large middle market accounts. We’ll count on you to build and maintain marketing and account initiation materials and review and analyze coverage issues and questions across three lines of business. In addition, you’ll help with account quote/bind and renewals and provide services to claim management and profit center management in the delivery of service to mid and large commercial market accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintains and updates Special Handling Instructions, including system capabilities.
Responsible for account, agent/broker, field visits to local offices and/or regional meetings.
Acts as secondary claim operation liaison with Underwriting and Loss Control for account business requirements.
Serves as subject matter authority for assigned projects.
Provides insight to continuously improve processes and services.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager, Claims Business Consulting.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
License/Certification/Designation: Insurance designations (i.e. AIC, ARM, CPCU) highly desirable
Experience: Five years of commercial claim experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Basic knowledge of business partner systems, e.g., E-File, Policy Viewer, Reference Connect, and Claim Center. Requires skill in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint and and multiple claim systems. Communication and presentation skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

The expected starting salary range for Claims Business Specialist – Commercial Lines : 81,500.00 – 122,500.00
