What does a Total Rewards Professional do at Green Dot?

 

You will have the opportunity to design and deliver benefit solutions and policies in line with Green Dot’s HR and business strategies. Utilizing your experience, you will assist in maintaining and managing employee benefits programs in compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal guidelines.

 

As a Total Rewards Professional, you can look forward to:

  • Serving as primary for the contact for the planning, implementation, and administration of US employee benefit programs such as health insurance, dental, vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k, employee assistance, and other plans.

  • Leading analysis and evaluation of services, coverage, and options available through insurance companies to determine programs best meeting needs of the organization.

  • Serving as company contact for contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.

  • Overseeing employee benefits programs and processes including annual audit, testing, and annual renewals (Example – Benefit and 401k NDT and 5500 Audits).

  • Administering the company’s leave of absence program with assistance of third-party vendor and maintain leave of absence policies, including design and new program recommendations.

  • Analyzing participation and utilization for all benefits on a quarterly and/or annual basis and use data to monitor trends and recommend educational initiatives, benefit plan changes, vendor changes, etc.

  • Working with benefits broker to help analyze benefits experience for cost-control and risk-assessment factors.

  • Ensuring compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws, including IRS and Department of Labor regulations.

  • Helping manage benefit enrollment process, including annual open enrollment meetings, to ensure employees receive accurate information and enrollments are completed on a timely basis.

  • Maintaining employee benefits data in human resources information systems and carriers.

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of wellness and health care educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles and changes in health care utilization and compliance.

  • Developing informative benefit materials, including training, and quarterly communications for employees.

  • Maintaining summary plan descriptions for all benefits plans and programs.

  • Researching and respond to complex questions from employees and leaders.

  • Demonstrating an understanding of the market dynamics and key competitor benefit plan design and industry trends.

  • Ensuring all invoices are processed appropriately and paid on time.

  • Performing support activities to administer compensation policies and programs.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a benefits role

  • Strong Excel skills required

  • Ability to be successful in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests and ensure deadlines are met

  • Stay abreast of industry standards, monitors, and reviews best practices, and makes changes as necessary

  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail which result in sound decisions, solutions, and recommendations

  • Must have sound knowledge of applicable federal and state wage and labor laws as applicable

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Workday experience

  • In-house ACA experience preferred

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $66,300 to $101,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
